Quick Access Menu
The Quick Access Menu is a way to use snippets without opening the Snippety app. You can call it by using a hotkey and selecting the snippet from the context menu.
Configuration
To use the Quick Access Menu, you need to set a hotkey for it. You can do this
in the Snippety app by going to App Settings -> Key Bindings -> Quick Access Menu
.
Next, you need to mark the snippets you want to use in the Quick Access Menu. You can do this by editing the snippet and checking the Quick Access Menu icon next to the Collection field. You can also do this on the snippet list by selecting the snippet and checking Quick Access Menu icon on the Snippet Preview bar.
Usage
To use the Quick Access Menu, you need to press the hotkey you set for it. The menu will appear, and you can select the snippet you want to use.
This is useful when you have a few snippets that you use often and don't want to remember the keyword for them.
It also allows you to use snippets that operate on the selected text without opening the app. Normally, you would have to select the text and open the app to use such snippets.
The context menu provides also shortcuts for the first 9 snippets, so you can
use them even faster without using the mouse. Just show the menu and press the
CMD + <number>
shortcut to select the snippet.
