Live Template

Snippety allows you to see the snippet preview while filling in placeholders to better understand the context of the values that you provide. This feature is called Live Template.

This form appears automatically when you expand a snippet that has placeholders, which require your input.

Simple Form​

If you don't like the Live Template feature, you can also use the simple form without the preview:

Shortcuts​

You can use the following shortcuts while using the Live Template:

  • Tab - Move to the next placeholder
  • Shift + Tab - Move to the previous placeholder
  • Ctrl + Tab - Move to the next empty placeholder
  • Shift + Ctrl + Tab - Move to the previous empty placeholder
  • Space - Show picker for the current placeholder (if applicable)
  • Enter - Confirm the form and expand the snippet
  • Ctrl + Enter - Confirm the form and expand the snippet when multiline editor is focused (doesn't work on Sequoia)
