This Privacy Policy applies to information collected when you use websites, desktop applications, mobile applications, and other products and services related to Snippety application (collectively, the “Services”) created and provided by Wojciech Kulik, or when you otherwise contact with him.
From time to time, this Privacy Policy may be updated. Due to the fact that only necessary personal information is collected, it might not be possible to inform you about changes in this Privacy Policy. Therefore, I encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you use Services.
All the collected information are anonymized (whenever possible), not allowing your identification. It is very important to us to protect your privacy, so we collect only the necessary information to provide you with the best possible experience.
Services use iCloud services to synchronize data between macOS and iOS devices. The data is stored in the user's iCloud account and is not accessible to us. We do not have access to the data stored in the user's iCloud account.
On macOS, iCloud synchronization is disabled by default and can be enabled by the user in the application settings. On iOS, iCloud synchronization is enabled by default and can be disabled by the user in the system settings.
We DO NOT collect any personal information or data that you type in the application, such as snippets, search queries, or any other text data you enter and store locally in the application.
The user has the ability to share snippets with other users using the `iCloud Collaboration` feature. In this case, the shared snippets are stored on Apple servers within the user's iCloud account. If the user shares the snippet with someone, they will be additionally stored on their iCloud account.
The user has also the ability to share a snippet as a link. In this case, the snippet is stored fully encrypted and is not accessible to anyone except the user unless the user shares the link with someone. The link contains the key to decrypt the snippet. This feature uses Firebase services to store the encrypted snippet. Decryption key is stored only on the user's device and is not accessible to us.
