Configuration

Let's open Snippety first (by default: ⌘ + Shift + Space). You can also click on the app icon in the menu bar.

Accessibility Permission

Snippety requires accessibility permission to work correctly. When you use a snippet for the first time, it will ask you to enable the permission.

If you see the following message, you need to grant the permission: No
permissions

You can also enable the permission from this screen if you have dismissed the message: No permissions

  1. Open the app settings by clicking on the gear icon below the snippet list.
  2. Click on the Snippet Expander tab.
  3. Click on the Troubleshooting section.
  4. Click on the Grant accessibility permission button.
  5. The System Preferences app will open. Depending on your macOS version, you may need to manually navigate to the Accessibility section and add the app by using the + button (the app is located in the /Applications folder).
  6. After adding the app, make sure the checkbox next to the app name is checked.

That's it! The permission should be detected by Snippety within a few seconds.
